Utopia/Dystopia artwork is currently on display throughout the UICA's 4 floors of gallery spaces, including several large-scale multi-sensory installations. Several indigenous cultures have predicted a significant shift within our Western view of the world is set to occur on December 21, 2012, and the exhibition offers the community an opportunity to ponder some relevant and pressing contemporary issues, namely will our insatiable quest for "progress" within Western culture lead to our ultimate destruction? In which direction does utopia exist, behind us, in this moment, our future, or solely in our imaginations?
