If the witches and wizards of the Potter-verse get to have Wizard Rock, then it stands to reason that all other realms of magical beings should get to have their own genre of Ghoul Tunes (™ pending). First to crawl up from the dregs of monster-infused melodies are the merry band of undead pharaohs called, appropriately, Here Come the Mummies. While these goonish ghouls don't rap (they're just wrapped up instead, get it?), they do bring a considerable sense of spunky humor to modern funk-infused R&B sensibilities. Plus, any fan in the audience has the added bonus of being able to watch a gang of mummies do its thing without risk of incurring airborne tomb-raiding curses. Funkadelic music AND you won't have to watch your own skin melt off? What an irresistible mash-up. If the mummies are coming and this is the result, then I say bring on the hieroglyphics.
