Other states may shiver shutter inside when the snow starts falling, but West Michigan is ready to celebrate winter.
This weekend is jam-packed full of events, from the ongoing World of Winter experience in downtown Grand Rapids to Grand Haven's Winterfest and Kalamazoo's Craft Beer Week.
Is it cold? Yes. Is it snowy? Yes. But that's what beer and hot cocoa are for.
Here's what's on our radar for the week ahead:
Winterfest in Grand haven is an absolute blast of snowy fun, a city-wide tradition for more than 30 years. Come on out to witness and participate in events that can ONLY happen in winter, from famous Cardboard Sled Race to Snow Volleyball, the adorable Family Dog Pull, Glow Bowl, Bonfire Bash, Sleepwalker Run, Snow Angel Contest, and more! Not to mention the Flannels and Flapjacks charity brunch on Sunday.
