The first annual West Michigan Songwriters' Festival kicks off September 10-11, 2021. The brainchild of local Edward Jones financial advisor, songwriter, musician Dan Terry, and Nashville songwriter and educator Steve Leslie, the festival features hit songwriters from Nashville playing the songs they wrote that you heard on the radio! Songs recorded by Alan Jackson, Lee Ann Womack, Luke Bryan, Reba McEntire, George Strait, Darius Rucker, Trisha Yearwood, Little Big Town and many others!
In conjuction with two nights of performances, a free workshop will be offered on The Craft Of Writibng a Country Song presented by Steve Leslie.
The West Michigan Songwriters' Festival is raising awareness of songwriting as an art form, songwriters as artists, and songwriting as a craft that everyone can learn to appreciate. The mission of the festival is to establish a foundation with the goal of educational scholarships for children.
The purchase of a ticket is $50 per night and it allows you to attend the songwriting workshop for free.
The performances will be Friday September 10th from 7pm - 9pm, and Saturday September 11th from 7pm - 9pm. The songwriting workshop will be Saturday September 11th from 2pm - 4pm.
