Take a creative break with the Winter Break Gallery Stroll
The art galleries of Saugatuck and Douglas are hosting a Winter Break Gallery Stroll on Saturday, February 19 and Sunday February 20 from noon - 5:00pm each day. Each gallery will be celebrating with special exhibits, artist talks, demonstrations, and refreshments all while being mindful of social distance protocols.
Enjoy exploring downtown Douglas where 7 art galleries will be participating in the event. The galleries include Button Gallery, Leben Art and Mixed Media Gallery, Mr Miller’s Art Emporium, Water Street Gallery, Krista Reuter Studio and J.Petter Gallery. All seven galleries are located in downtown Douglas, making the stroll a perfect ‘to do’ for your president’s day weekend. Participating Saugatuck galleries include Jeff Blandford Gallery, James Brandess Gallery, Armstrong Degraaf International Fine Art, Good Goods, Amazwi Gallery and Marcia Perry Ark Gallery.
And while strolling, you will discover one of a kind paintings, digital art collages, ceramics, glass, sculpture, unique mixed media paper creations and artwork from around the world.
This is a wonderful opportunity to shake the winter blues and add some color back in your life and discover why the Saugatuck/Douglas area is known as the "Art coast of Michigan!”
For more information about specific event happenings at each gallery, please contact any of the participating galleries via their websites or Facebook pages. The event is free and open to the public and everyone is welcome.
