Grand Rapids rockers Aria Flame headed to Belgium this fall

Grand Rapids-based neoclassical hard rock band (think Trans Siberian Orchestra, but with more teeth) Aria Flame will be going international with their unique brand of music this fall. The band recently confirmed their spot on the Metal Female Voices Festival that is slated for Oct. 17-19 in Belgium.

Indie-rock band The National is scheduled to perform at Calvin College's Van Noord Arena on April 12. The band, known for its dreamy, melancholy songs and frontman Matt Berninger's haunting baritone is touring in support of its latest album, Trouble Will Find Me, released in May 2013.

Sound Tribe Sector 9, simply known as STS9, will be taking a break from their winter tour, announcing the postponement of their upcoming show dates through February. This includes the band's Feb. 9 stop at The Orbit Room in Grand Rapids. The cancellation stems from the split between bassist David Murphy and the band.
