How can we better serve those who served us? This question challenges us to think about those who gave some, and those who gave all, to serve our nation. Veterans, families, and communities struggle with the aftereffects of serving in the military. Too often suffered in silence, the psychological trauma experienced by those in uniform brings the hardship home. By embracing honest discussion and strong networks of support, winning the battle against these harrowing challenges is possible. Along with our many partners, the Hauenstein Center is proud to present the Hidden Wounds of War conference. This year’s conference continues the far-reaching discussion on veterans, their families, and our communities by addressing moral injury.
