Wouldn’t it be cool to play with LEGOs for a living? But, that’s not possible, right? That’s just a silly hobby for kids, right?

Adam Reed Tucker is a Certified Lego Professional. With a title like that, how can that not be the most badass job ever?
The Grand Rapids Public Museum will be opening a new exhibit on March 1, 2014, called Dream it, Build it: A LEGO Certified Professional Exhibit. Basically, it’s a ginormous exhibit full of model structures, like the Empire State Building, Gateway Arch and more, all redone in LEGO form by Tucker, in the most LEGO-tastic epic way of course.
Those of us that played with LEGOs as kids know that anything in LEGO form is automatically a million times cooler. But stepping away from the typical nerdy creations, like a full-scale replica of Morder, or the entire Hogwarts castle, this is a nice refresher of monuments that actually exist. This guy took his real-life architectural knowledge of real buildings and made it fun. That takes some wicked talent. But then again, he is a LEGO pro.
Tucker started using LEGOs as an art medium to add a lil’ artistic expression to his architecture. Whether you’re an artist or not, though, and no matter your age, you can appreciate and ogle some of his fantastic LEGO models.
There will also be works on display from the Western Michigan LEGO Train Club in conjunction with Milton Train Works, which will include a model of the Museum’s 1885 trolley car.
Even if your kid may not know what the Jim Mao Tower is, they will love it. I mean, come on, it’s LEGOs!
