​In this workshop students will create their own unique Mandala to take home. A Mandala is a radial design with geometric shapes and patterns. The word mandala means “circle” in Sanskrit and represents wholeness. ​Its origins and meanings in Eastern religious practices. Today​ Mandala​s are used around the world for many purposes from a tool for meditation​ to home decor. ​Students will explore making radial designs, based upon a circle, square or triangle and will create their own unique ​and meaningful ​mandala (12” x 12”). Mandalas will be made using a variety of mix media materials, such as, stickers, markers, tape, and collage. Supplies will be provided -- all experience levels are welcome.
