I typically write the touring music column. Holland is home, but Grand Rapids feels just the same. One of my earliest touring music articles was an interview with Wesley Shultz, lead singer of The Lumineers. That story will always be my all-time favorite! I try to dress up ordinary moments on the weekend, so I start every Saturday by drinking coffee in my hammock, usually with a candle-lit breakfast, followed by a vinyasa yoga class.

What's a particular story you're really proud of/were excited to write for Revue?

What's a piece of media that really shaped you?

I borrowed the album Brothers by The Black Keys from my sister, who had checked out the CD from our local library, when I was fourteen. That record woke me up to music. I also keep a copy of the book Dharma Bums by Jack Kerouac on me at all times.
