The pop rock/punk scene in West Michigan — as thin as it might be at the moment — will bid farewell to one of its major players this evening at The Stache, located in The Intersection in Grand Rapids. Kalamazoo's The Better Fight will be calling it quits, but not before one final bro-down tonight.
The group — comprised of Josh Flermoen, Jordan Hoyt, Ron Hardy, Chris Isch and John Ingles — has been a relative mainstay in the West Michigan scene producing high-energy, polished recorded work akin to like-minded national bands like A Day To Remember and Fall Out Boy. The Better Fight has also lent local support for quite a few high-profile acts like Go Radio, Hawthorne Heights and Sparks The Rescue.
The doors for tonight's show swing up at 6:30 p.m. and will feature headliners in The Lost Years, out of Gary, Indiana. Locals Lights Over Bridgeport and Maybe Next Time will be on hand, too. Tickets cost $8 at the door.
