TRACK OF THE WEEK: "Chimney Wizard" by The Reptilian

The Reptilian has been a staple in the Kalamazoo and West Michigan music scenes for, oh, about 300 years (we're estimating). But to be more precise, this band has been around for the better part of a decade. They go back to the days where they were rocking alongside of La Dispute at house shows around the area. They were also fixtures at the now-defunct DAAC in Grand Rapids.

As the years have marched on, The Reptilian has not lost its audio ferocity, slinging around a brand of hardcore math rock that has jam-packed, sweaty basements churning all over Kalamazoo. Heck, they're even embarking for Europe this spring.

Comprised of Jon Sacha, Russ Wagner and Dan Riehl, the trio is currently rocking their most current album called Low Health (June 2013), released on small, independent label Count Your Lucky Stars Records.

We grabbed a track off of that album to pound your ear holes with. The song is called "Chimney Wizard," and it incorporates pretty much every element that so many fans have come to know and love about the group.
