GRAND RAPIDS — Calvin College has released its schedule for the 2017 January Series, a month of experts, performers and other presenters visiting the college.
Some of the more well-known presenters include: Doris Kearns Goodwin, presidential historian and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist; Matthew Desmond, a recipient of a MacArthur Genius Grant; and Taylor Davis, a violinist well known for her video game and film score performances.
The series is free to attend and runs from 12:30-1:30 p.m. on weekdays in the Covenant Fine Arts Center. Performances will also be broadcast to various churches around Michigan, including in Holland, Muskegon, Kalamazoo, Big Rapids and more.
