Kick off the holiday season by giving back with Merry Market GR, an unforgettable shopping experience featuring over 30 local brick and mortar West Michigan shops and other bits of holiday fun.

Taking place on Friday, November 15 from 10 a.m. – 8 a.m. and Saturday, November 16 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at St. Nicholas Cultural Center, Merry Market GR is a great way to get in the holiday spirit while shopping local and contributing to a great cause.

"Merry Market GR came to life from my love of supporting local retailers, community and giving back to a deserving charity," said Jessica Crosby, Owner of Delight In Designs and Founder of Merry Market GR. "I saw an opportunity to create an event that not only celebrates the holiday season but also supports local retailers to showcase their products and make shopping local really easy bringing all of us together under one roof. It's an excuse for me to celebrate the season by bringing people together, creating a joyful experience and having fun!"

Crosby says that Merry Market GR is unique because it isn't just another craft fair—it's a true celebration of local retailers and small businesses.

"We focus on showcasing established local stores and boutiques, rather than crafters or hobbyists," Crosby explained. "This gives shoppers access to a curated selection of high-quality products from businesses they may not have discovered yet. It's an opportunity to support West Michigan's best brands while also enjoying a festive atmosphere with a holiday vibe. Plus, all proceeds go to charity, making it a gift that gives back to the community!"

That charity is Once Upon a Room Grand Rapids, a nonprofit that decorates hospital rooms for children who are going through life-changing illnesses or injuries.

"We chose Once Upon a Room Grand Rapids because their mission resonates deeply with our values of community and giving back," Crosby shared, noting the organization goes above and beyond, making sure that each child feels special and supported. "We wanted to align Merry Market GR with a cause that makes a tangible impact on local families. Their work is purely volunteer-based, which means every dollar donated directly supports the cause, and we're thrilled to play a part in helping them make a difference."

In addition to retailers, Merry Market GR will include additional bits of holiday fun like photos with Santa; food trucks; entertainment from choirs and bands; the Little Elves Shop and Fun Zone for kids to buy for their loved ones; gift wrapping; special offers and much more.

"Merry Market GR is the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit while also discovering unique gifts for everyone on your list," Crosby said. "Plus, tickets are only $15, and with proceeds going to charity, you can feel good about every purchase you make. This is an event where you can support local businesses, have fun and make a real impact on the community."
