In the midst of a weeks-long government shutdown, Grand Rapids Civic Theatre is trying to ease the pain.
If you’re a furloughed government employee, just show up to the box office with your federal ID to receive two free tickets to the mystery drama And Then There Were None, showing through January 27. Performances are held Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
The theater’s reasoning? “You serve our Nation, let us entertain you. You’ve earned it.”
According to one of our critics, the show is perfect for “anyone looking for a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat,” which is a great way to escape the worries of everyday life, furloughed or no.
