Grand Rapids Public Museum offers free day

The Grand Rapids Public Museum is offering free entry from 12 to 5 p.m. on July 16. Explore the fun, hands-on learning opportunities on all three floors by getting transported back to the 19th century streets Grand Rapids or the wildlife of Michigan at the West Michigan Habitat.

If you’re feeling particularly intrigued and want more to explore, you can also visit Mindbender Mansion and search for clues. The mansion won’t be free, but entry will only cost $2. Visitors at the mansion will be greeted by Mr. E, who explains the mysteries of the mansion. Tabletop brainteasers, group puzzles and hidden clues abound in this mind-bending exhibition for all ages. Once the necessary clues and passwords are gathered, become a member of the mindbender society and get your picture hung on the Wall of Fame.

Also check out the planetarium shows and the Museum’s 1928 Spillman Carousel, available for an additional charge.
