As of yesterday, a movie based on the dark history of Beaver Island is now available on Amazon, iTunes, YouTube, Vimeo, Vudu and other streaming sites.
Revue in fall of 2015 told the story of “Elder Island,” when production was still in progress.
The film uses as a starting point the lesser-known past of Beaver Island, which included religious monarchies, a power-hungry preacher and murder. The story has some retro-horror aspects to it, but it’s not a “gorefest,” according to producer Fabricio Cerioni.
