The 2017 West Michigan Area Show is now accepting submissions from local artists until Jan. 23.
Each year, a juror picks from more than 500 entries across all media. This year, that juror is Fiona Ragheb of Detroit, a curator who has worked at the Walker Art Center, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and the Broad Art Foundation.
On March 3, the winners will be announced at an opening reception, including the $1,000 grand prize winner. The exhibition will then be on display at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts March 4 through May 28.
