The Grand Rapids Public Museum is giving you the opportunity to roam around with a Tyrannosaurus Rex — a.k.a. the greatest dinosaur of all time. The museum is bringing this pre-historic celebrity alive on Feb. 14-16 for its Dinosaur Walk.
Museum goers get the opportunity to witness an eight-foot, anatomically correct T-Rex puppet that will take four, 30-minute strolls around the Galleria of the museum on each of those days. You can access a schedule for the Dinosaur Walk at grpm.org or call 616-456-3977.
Admission to the Dinosaur Walk is free. The event is also general admission.
Aside from the Dinosaur Walk, the GRPM is also currently featuring their Dinosaurs Unearthed exhibition on the third floor of its facility.
Dinosaurs Unearthed focuses on the paleontological theory that some dinosaurs had a combination of scales and hair-like feathers, which helped to regulate body heat throughout these cold-blooded creatures. The exhibition features state-of-the-art animatronic dinosaurs, articulated skeletons, and a large selection of fossils.
