Carla Hill, the president and CEO of Muskegon’s West Michigan Symphony, is stepping down from her position.
Hill has been with the symphony for 12 years, and just recently decided that it was time for a change in life.
“Over the past 12 seasons, Carla Hill has been an ideal artistic partner at the West Michigan Symphony,” said Music Director Scott Speck. “She has had a strong creative vision for our organization and the energy to match. Carla has always been at her best when dreaming up a big new project and making it happen collaboratively; it's the big goals that really motivate her. … She's one in a million, I will miss her.”
While a search committee is being formed to search for a successor, Kay Olthoff is acting as the interim executive director.
