Yellowcard will stop at The Intersection for Ocean Avenue Acoustic Tour

It's 10 years ago. You just got your cartilage pierced and you and your friends are cruising around town during spring break, pretty much feeling like the cool guys and gals you are.

What CD are you rocking in your deck? Yea, probably Yellowcard's Ocean Avenue. The pinnacle of the Jacksonville, Fla.-based pop rock group's career, Ocean Avenue featured hits like "Way Away," "Only One" and "Ocean Avenue". It was released in the summer of 2003 on Capitol Records.

Now, Yellowcard is resurrecting those same summer vibes as the band stops in at The Intersection Jan. 29 for the Ocean Avenue Acoustic Tour.

The band is promoting its recent album Ocean Avenue Acoustic, which features fully re-imagined versions of songs from the original Ocean Avenue. During the group's pit stop in Grand Rapids, they will play Ocean Avenue Acoustic from start to finish, and then close out the show with full electric versions of their material.

The band is joined by What's Eating Gilbert, which features Chad Gilbert, a founding member of New Found Glory.

This all ages show kicks off at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale this Friday for $20.
