We may still be in the dead of winter, but Frederik Meijer Gardens is thinking summer, with three acts announced for its summer concert series. The series has recently partnered with Fifth Third Bank, and boasts a new title: Fifth Third Bank Summer Concert Series at Meijer Gardens.
The acts announced include Jennifer Nettles, NEEDTOBREATHE and KC and the Sunshine Band.
Best known for her work with country band Sugarland, Jennifer Nettles went her own way this year, releasing That Girl, her debut solo album. Nettles, whose Sugarland hits include "Want To" and "All I Want To Do," will perform at Meijer Gardens July 19.
NEEDTOBREATHE is best known in the Christian rock genre, but has moved up to mainstream success within the past few years. The band's most recent album, The Reckoning, peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 charts and No. 1 on both the U.S. Christian and U.S. Rock charts. The band plans to release its next album, Rivers in the Wasteland, in April and plays Meijer Gardens June 21.

A key voice in the disco and funk genres, this band is known for iconic songs such as "That's the Way (I Like It)," "(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty," "Get Down Tonight" and "Give It Up." The band will perform these hits and more at Meijer Gardens July 24.
