Pop icon Janet Jackson announced this morning the dates of The Unbreakable World Tour. The shows are in support of her upcoming album. One of the 36 stops is a Sept. 11 show at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, where the show starts at 8 p.m. Ticket prices range from $29.50 to $99.50 and go on sale to the general public Monday, June 22 at 10 a.m.
The upcoming Jackson album, her eleventh, is the first since the 2009 death of her brother, Michael Jackson. Her last LP, 2008’s Discipline, debuted at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200. Jackson, 49, has won six Grammy Awards, two Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe and even garnered an Academy Award nomination.
Aside from being one of the top-selling artists of all time (over 160 million sold), Jackson keeps busy as a published author, choreographer and dancer.
