Grand Rapids museums offer free admission to furloughed government employees

With no premonition of the U.S. government shutdown ending, furloughed federal employees and their families are facing the harsh effects. The Grand Rapids Art Museum and Children’s Museum are providing an opportunity for these employees to still experience the cultural benefits of the the Grand Rapids community by offering free admission with a federal identification. Show of I.D. allows admission for the employee and three additional guests.
